Carbohydrate is starches that turn into sugar by the digestive process in the body. Rice, pasta, bread, potatoes and some vegetables that we eat are high carbohydrate and processed into a high sugar too.

Unconsciously the food we eat, although not sweet is able to raise the levels of sugar in the body, such as this carbohydrate. You should be carefully in choosing food that contains carbohydrate that also has an effect on your glucose levels. Here are tips in choosing healthy carbohydrate.

1. Choose carbohydrate that is made from wheat flour. It can be bread wheat or oats because they contain lots of fiber and can lower cholesterol in the blood. For rice, choose brown rice, because it has more fiber.

2. Reduce the consumption of potatoes and replace it with low-carbohydrate vegetables such as carrot or spinach. You do not need to remove the potato from the menu, but limit their consumption. Potatoes contain healthy carbohydrates although high content of carbohydrates.

3. Expand the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables. Fresh fruits and vegetables taste more delicious and sweeter. This natural sweetness is more secure than the sweetness of rice, pasta, noodles and other carbohydrate foods. By eating fresh vegetables and fruits, the needs of fiber, vitamins and minerals you had also met with the full.

4. In order to you quickly feel full longer, always add the nuts in the diet. By consuming carbohydrate we are going to feel full longer. Well, so that we do not eat too many carbohydrates, eat more nuts in your diet. Protein in nuts will also make full longer and certainly healthier than satisfied with the carbohydrates.
