Ive had panic attacks for years. whats the effect it will have on my health?
physically NOTHING! During your panic attack you may think your going to pass out..get dizzy…think your having a heart attack. your chest pounding ..etc….. But those feelings even though they seem real and your body is experiencing them they aren't really real. Such as yes your heart maybe pounding really hard but that doesn't mean your heart is in pain or is about to burst or stop beating. I know it maybe sorta confusing. It still is to me too when I get a panic attack. Just remember during a panic attack nothing will happen to you. Not 1 person who has ever had a panic attack has gotten hurt physically by them. The only thing that may effect your health is if you stress out over them before you even have one or during. As hard as it is try not to think about them and if one hits just remember what I told you. I hope this helped
awful. had them for 10 years. been on meds. you need xanax or the likes that stop them, so you dont fear them. its a viscous circle. you fear you are going to get a panic attack, which brings them on. there are some good docs, but be prepared that some may probe as to what is the cause. the cause ISAY IS I PANIC! so go to another doc, some have great empathy for sufferers. its a viscous circle. i feel for you. good luck
