Body weight is very affecting to fertility for woman. If they excess weight, they are suggested to reduce their body weight to increase the chance of pregnancy. Research that was conducted by a team of researchers from the Sheffield University, UK, showed that reduced body weight only 5 percent could increase blood circulation to the womb 19 percent. The research was conducted over three months of 40 obesity women who are not fertile. Most respondents have Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), average age 29 years, and have a body mass index 40 that is classified of obesity. PCOS is the cause of most infertility on women. The respondents are requested to consume orlistat or metformin and should reduced 5 percent of body weight for 12 weeks.
The previous studies have proved that a few reduction in body weight is able to increase the opportunity of ovulation up to 40 percent. However, this latest study is the first study of that enters the blood circulation factors.

“The body weight of 5 to 10 percent is a reasonable target. The approximate weight is ideal for the occurrence of pregnancy,” said Professor Bill Ledger, one of the researchers.
