When people fast to clean out their systems how do they know it is safe? How long can the person fast for ?

before their are some health concerns? What are some signs of health concern?
What are some vitamins, systems, or nutrients in the body, that are the most vital that could be affected during a cleansing fast?


First off, think sensibly. Can fasting be done healthifully and reasonably? It most certainly can. Don't we all fast? That is why the first meal of the day is called breakfast ( it is the meal that breaks the fast between the final meal from the night before to the first meal some 12 hours later ). The fasting part can be lengthened by several hours if you are healthy. It probably can even improve the health of an unhealthy person. I know of some bloggers who were able to get off of their diabetic meds with the help of intermittent fasting. I do extended fasting ( intermittent fasting ) every day. I do not have my first meal until 2:00 P.M. and I eat hearty food. I am a meat and vegetables gurl who usually eats some form of sugarfree chocolate for dessert. So here is an example of the many foods I eat following my fast. Two chicken thighs, sauteed yellow squash/onions and mustard greens. I cook with coconut oil, butter and/or olive oil. I drink V8 juice. I might choose to have chocolate fudge pudding for dessert with some strawberries. As you can see, this meal is nutritious and filling. I don't worry about the amount of food I eat when I end my fast. I will have a nice light dinner within the next four hours then I begin my fast again. An example of dinner might be stir fried shrimp and vegetables.

I had to work myself up to this point…I didn't just begin fasting 20 hours and eating within a 4 hour window ( 20/4 ). I just extended my fast by an hour each day by eating breakfast later and later in the day. Eventually I was able to go until 2 P.M. I have been doing this on a low carb diet for over a year.I have lost 17 lbs. Note: I have to "go" every day within an hour following my first meal. I take in more nutrients doing low carb in the first place. Removing sugar and adding sufficient fats to your diet improves your body to absorb nutrients.
