Anaerobic v aerobic?

whats the difference

explain this to me like im thick cause i basically am :)

In Aerobic energy production the body uses Oxygen to produce energy. This is the body's most efficient method of energy production and causes you to sweat. However it takes some time to get this system going (2-3 minutes) and there is an upper limit to the amount of energy it can produce.

In the Anaerobic system the body does not use Oxygen to produce energy. It is a less efficient use of carbohydrates and it produces lactic acid as a side effect (causes pain in muscles and vomiting in high concentrations). However, its advantage is that it gets going in about 10-20 seconds and it can produce more energy than the aerobic system. This is the main reason that people run faster in the 100-800m than longer events

Hope that helps.
