6 meals a day?

I'd like to start eating 6 smaller meals a day, instead of eating 3 big meals. I'm not sure what to eat, though. Could someone who does this "diet", tell me what they eat on a day to day basic? Also, I was wondering, if I keep with this into high school, how am I supposed to eat my two other meals during school? Any info on this 6 meals a day that you can give me would be great! :D Thanks!!!

Well for me. I find this diet works really well when i can stick to it (i was doing a lot of running also) i lost 4.5lb in 2 weeks whilst gaining muscle (obviously if your not working out you wont put on bulk). I did light exercise before breakfast (walk the dog for 30 minutes or something) this is important because it gets your metabolism going then have breakfast (egg whites omlet with no butter 2x egg whites some mushrooms a half an onion and what ever herbs you like only less than 100 cal very filling NO FAT OR CHEESE)

Then i would have 2 cups of water and peice of fruit or a couple of crackers

then i would have a salad (no fat dressing like balsamic vinegar and no cheese)

then another piece of fruit and glass of water

then another piece of fruit LOTS of water

then i would eat lots of meat when i came home from the gym (swap this for a light dinner stay) and lots of water

The water and light meals are important (fruits/veges low fat meats and low cal food) keeps your metabolism going ALL day making your body use more energy and dinner should be your lightest meal unless working out and breakfast your biggest

the fruit can be what ever you want but be sure you know the calories of them all. use a site like http://www.calorieking.com/ but lots of other sites have good free info on calorie counting.

One Response to “6 meals a day?”

  1. when they say 6 ''meals'' a day they dont actually mean MEALS MEALS. what's meant by that is … 3 meals.. like breakfast, small lunch and small dinner. now the SMALL comes into play because between breakfast and dinner u snack… this small healthy snack is referred to as a ''meal'' :) it can be like.. a handful of nuts or a fruit like an apple or banana or whatever! just something healthy.

for these ''meals'' you could have like…… well a healthy breakfast ofcourse! and then some nuts perhaps, then for lunch have some sort of a salad with some sort of a meat in it.. don't forget it has to be a SMALL portion (cup sized) and then for ur ''meal'' (snack) between lunch and dinner can be a raw veggie or some sort of a healthy yoghurt or a smoothie or something! :) and then for dinner you could have like a SMALL portion of say…. wholemeal pasta or rice or sea food or cooked veggies .. or whatever you like so long as its healthy and in a small portion! :)

so actually…….. its 3 meals and 2/3 snacks (u can have your last snack a while after dinner if you get hungry… snacking on veg/ fruit ofcourse) :D

    good luck!
