Allergic to everything?

I am 17 and live in the South. Moving is not an option, despite the large pollen count. I take allergy shots once a week (been 2 years now), have tried every kind of nose spray and allergy med on the market, and yet my allergies are still horrible!
To make it worse, I don't sneeze and all with my allergies. Instead, I cough and my vocal chords swell up, causing me to sound like a smoker. My allergist says it's fine, but it's kinda weird…
Is there anything I can do, like a home remedy or something, that will work? Or should I invest in a plastic bubble? (Although with my luck on it, I'll be allergic to the bubble)

Also, I'm not asthmatic. My allergist checks everytime I see him and my results are always perfect.

Get a good air purifier with a HEPA filter.

  1. maybe its something else thats the issue? r perhaps you WERE like me, i too was allergic to everything, and had shots twice a week for 7-8 years. i think maybe ur reactions are more severe, and if anything, try talking to ur doctor about increased dosage in the shots.

  2. I live in the South too and like u I have Allergies and Asma i control my allergies with Zyrtec D and it works great and you can get it over the counter now, and for my asma i use advair but i have that under control. Hope this helps.
