Was the late Tim Russert a diabetic?
I was reading more about the autopsy report saying that he had diabeties and may have had stents put in. The reason why I am asking this is because 2 months ago, my older brother died from the same causes and I am seeking closure from that experience in my life.
I guess if it said he was a diabetic, he must have been one. They said he died of a heart attack, so that may or may not have been from heart disease brought about by diabetes. Since they said he may of had stents, that would indicate that he had some sort of artery disease which is very common in diabetics. He may not have taken good care of himself, and maybe his diabetes was not controlled well.
I believe they said he had asymptomatic heart disease and was being treated for it with medication.
Allegedly, he did have a rupture, but I didn't hear anything about diabetes.
In any case, in my opinion, diabetes is a silent killer, causing heart disease before you know it.
I don't believe Russert had stents, but I'm not privy to his records.
